Do I need a visa to visit Guangzhou for 7 hours?

I am travelling on MSC Bellissima and it arrives in Nansha port Guangzhou at 7am and departs at 4pm on 10 April 2020

Janet, if this is your only layover in mainland China and your route qualifies as a transit route (ie., Country A - Guangzhou - Country C), you can enjoy the 24h visa-free transit in Guangzhou.

Thank you very much for replying. Is there any documentation that would support this that I could take along with my passport? I have had so many different answers that I feel I need something in writing to support this.

Besides your passport, you need to take your cruise ticket and visa for the next destination if required.
