About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

UK to China to Netherlands

I have a flight from UK to Shanghai via Amsterdam and then fly to Amsterdam two days later directly from Shanghai. Does this work even though the original UK flight is via another country!

Every landing counts as a stop whether its 1 hour or 1 year.
The relevant portions to China immigration is Netherlands > China > Netherlands this not eligible for visa free transit.
