About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Limit to 72 hour Visa

We will be flying into Beijing from Bangkok, and are scheduled to fly out 72 hours and 5 minutes later, with a 2 hour stopover in Shanghai, on our way back to Toronto, Canada. Does this qualify for the 72 hour visa? Thank you.

Beijing replaced the 72h twov with the 144h twov a few years ago.
But you're not eligible as you have another stop in Shanghai anfd that limits your transit time to 24h.
You need a visa for this trip.
