About:Independent China Tours

London to Shanghai then cruise from Shanghai to Japan

we are flying from London to Shanghai landing at 9.10 am on 12th Feb 2020 2 nights in hotel and on 14th feb board msc cruise overnight departing 5pm on 15th feb can we apply for 144hr transit without visa.
Thanks for any info & advice you can give.

Unfortunately, somebody is deleting valuable posts :(

I have already answered the question and I will repeat it here.

This itinerary is eligible for 144 hour visa free transit with just two conditions that have to be fulfilled:

- The flight from London to Shanghai is not allowed to have any additional landing within mainland China and in Japan
- The cruise is not allowed to have its first port of call, immediately after Shanghai, in mainland China port

If the above mentioned conditions are fulfilled, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit.

Now a message to the moderators or anyone in charge of this thread: Please, stop deleting valuable posts because I will not participate any more in answering the questions that are deleted within a day or even less for no reason. Trust me, you will lose a person who has answered hundreds of posts just as a voluntary activity. Please, don't do that.
