Am I eligible for 144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I plan to arrive in Beijing from Italy on 21 Mar 2020, and stay until early morning of 24 Mar, then fly back to Sydney, Australia. I am an Australian citizen. Am I eligible for 144-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Beijing?

Yes, of course. Your itinerary:

Italy - Beijing - Sydney

Is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Beijing area with just one condition, your itinerary is not allowed to have any additional stop(s) within mainland China!

You will print out your flight tickets and bring those printouts with you. Also, you should book at least the first overnight in Beijing in advance and bring a confirmation of your accommodation booking with you.
