Can we use a 144hr Visa-Free for our 6 day tour of China

Our pending holiday incorporates a short 6 day tour in China. We fly into Xi'an from Singapore for 2 days of sightseeing. On day 3 we travel by fast train to Beijing for further sightseeing. On day 6 we fly from Beijing back to the UK. Will this short tour be covered by the 144hr visa-free policy? Your assistance would be very much appreciated.
