About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Pudong 14h Layover

Hi!
I read, that last few weeks for those who don´t have a minimum 24h layover at pudong Airport was declined the transit visa. Is it possible? Of course next week my layover is only 14 hours...so I now do not know if I should reserve a hotel for a short sleep... Thx for help.

Zolee, I heard that if you transit in Shanghai for less than 8 hours and don't have a hotel booking, you will not allowed to leave the airport. So if you prepare a hotel booking, and your layover is more than 8 hours, I think it's possible that you will be allowed to leave the airport.
