How efficient is the public transportation in shantou ?

Is there shuttle bus from the airport to the city of shantou?
How frequent are the city buses ?
Is the bus network extensive ? Are there any buses going to Nan Ao island ?

Do you mean Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport? Yes, there are many buses from this airport to Shantou every day. The bus runs from 7:30 to 17:30 with frequency of 30 minutes. After 17:30, the bus will depart according to the passenger flow till the last flight arrival. If you are in Shantou city, you can take bus No.105 to the tourist center of Nan'ao island.
