About:China F Visa

Visiting student in a research laboratory in Shenzhen

Hi, I need to go to Shenzhen to work in a research laboratory. I will be pay from USA to do this collaboration with the group in China. Is it ok the F visa for this purpose? Since I'm Italian and I leave in USA. Can I do the application online or it is required the in-person interview to the Chinese Embassy?

Rosa, you can apply for an F visa fror this purpose. However, you can't do the application online. You need to apply for it in person at the Chinese embassy or consulate in your residence area in the US or have an agent to do it for you.
