I want to know if it still has a visa free option ? Do I need a Henan agency to apply for me ? Will I need the invitation letter to from my friend if I am not stopping at an Hotel for the duration of my stay ?and please clarify the cost.? Is there any option to visit the mainland by upgrade without a full visa and my Airport destination is Pheonix IntenationalThank you

Yes, the visa free option is still available and you need to have a tour agency in Hainan to apply for you.You don't need the invitation letter from your friend.If you wish to visit mainland China, your can ask the travel agency to help you to get a regular Chinese visa from the Exit and Entry Administration of the local Public Security Bureau. The cost for UK citizens is CNY 304.
