Visa for Sri lankan students stay in Russia

I am a Sri lanka student who study in Russia.I am planning to go TransMongolian trip from moscow to Beijing then fly to colombo. I go with my girlfriend also Sri Lankan Citizen who also study in my University .I want to know which kind of visa should I apply ?how to apply? And how much cost?

If you only plan to visit Beijing in China for a few days, then you can apply for a transit visa. If you want to visit multiple cities in China and stay for a longer time, you can apply for a tourist visa. The application can be done at the Chinese embassy in Moscow. The cost is 2,000 roubles for each application.

Only need for 3days but my friend said don’t go to China embassy in moscow and he recommend to go to traveling agency?What do you think?

I am going by train so can not apply transit visa and I asked from a traveling agency they said before applying visa need departure tickets and hotels reservations but problem they said they not 100% guaranteed about visa.the problem if visa rejected all money will be lost.do you have an idea
