About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa in Shanghai

I have a confirmed ticket to hkg from pvg. I plan to stay 3 days in Shanghai before continuing to hkg. In case i change my mind, can i leave pvg earlier than plan if i am airline employee standby? I have US passport

Unfortunately, you are not allowed to use any visa free transit scheme when traveling on standby. Visa free transit always requires, without a single exception, only confirmed tickets.
