Taking 16 day Asia Princess cruise that starts Singapore and ends in Shanghai

The cruise arrives in Shanghai May 2nd 2020 and I have an airline ticket from Pudong to Newark, New Jersey departing afternoon of May 5th 2020. Plan to stay only in Shanghai for this time. Am I eligible for the 144 hour Visa? The cruise line says I am. Just want to double check if you can advise I would very much appreciate it. Thank you
