Transfer of work permit

Hi,
Thank you for the great article.

I changed schools mid way through my contract - amicably with the old school. I will be returning to my country 16 Dec but have been advised that I will not be allowed to leave the school until the transfer has been completed and my new work permit approved. Pleass advise if I will not be allowed to leave or return to the country despite my residence permit being valid.

I would like to know this as well. I am planning to transfer work permit, then renew the temporary residence permit with the new company. Though I will return on January 5th and my temp residence permit expires on January 9th. Could I start the transfer, come back on 5th, update the work permit with new company info then start the temporary residence renewal?
