About:China Transit Visa

Transit from different city

First time posting on this forum. I am an Australian citizen. I will enter China through Guangzhou airport (then transit to Shanghai) and leave in 5 days' time, at Shanghai Pudong airport (and then to HK), then back to San Francisco. Am I eligible for the 144 hour visa-free transit - my concern is that I will enter and leave at different airports? Any info would be appreciated. Many thanks guys!

Leaving and entering from different airports are only OK if the airports are within the same region. In this case it is not, so you need a tourist visa or different flights.
