About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do i need to collect my checked in luggage to leave the airport if i have a 72 hour visa?

I have a 14 hour layover in Guandong and am considering getting a 72 hour visa to go out and eat and shop. Do i need to collect my checked in luggage and take it out with me or will it be moved to my layover plane's flight in 14 hours?

Usually, if you hold a through ticket, your luggage will be delivered to the final destination. If you hold separate tickets, you need to collect your luggage during the layover. Please inquire about this with the airline.
