I hold a Permanent Residence Permit. do I need to apply for a new Work Permit when changing jobs?

I am a holder of a Permanent Residence Permit. If I change jobs, do I still need to go through the process of cancelling the current and apply for a new Work Permit? Or does this process become obsolete? Appreciate you insight. Thanks.

Since you have a permanent residence permit, you don't need to get a work permit for working in China, so no need to cancel the current one and apply for a new one.
