About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

USA to Vancouver,BC to Beijing, returning to Vancouver, BC to USA -

From what it looks like, this would not qualify for the 144 hour visa, correct? I will need to get a Chinese tourism visa. Just looking for confirmation.

Canada-China-Canada is not a transit, it's a visit to China. And you're right, it requires a visa.

You will want to apply in advance for the 10 year multiple entry tourist (L) visa from the China Consulate that services your state.
