About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Transit Visa Requirement

Hi, i'll be travelling from Hanoi with an Australian Passport,

I'll spend 27 hours in Shenzhen and then flying to Shanghai for 4 days before leaving to Bali. Will i need a Visa? Or will this be covered in the less than 144 hours 6 day China Visit.

Thanks,
Justin.

Unfortunately, you will need a Chinese transit or tourist visa because you are not allowed to have two consecutive stops within mainland China when traveling on 144 hour visa free transit. This is allowed only when traveling on 24 hour visa free transit, but your plan is to stay more than 24 hours. So, only the visa obtained in advance can cover your planned itinerary or you can maybe rearrange your flights to reduce your stops in China to only one. Now, when you know, you will bring a decision.
