About:Directions for Use of Shanghai Public Transportation Card

Shanghai transportation card expiry

Hi, is there really no other choice but to go back to china within 2 yrs when i last recharged my train card for the balance not to expire? I was a tourist and im not sure i will be back within the next 2 years. Thanks

The card period of validity has changed to 5 years.
