Staying in Shanghai for 30 hours

I am an exchange student in Shanghai with an one-entry visa. In December 23 2019, I will be flying to the Philippines and on January 18, 2020 (2.30 am), I will be arriving back in Shanghai. I will only go back to Shanghai to pick up my other stuff and also because I have a flight to Korea from Shanghai on the 19th of January. My flights are with different airlines and I will be only staying in Shanghai for about 30 hrs.
Do I need a visa or can I use the visa-free transit?
