from dubai if i fly into guangzhou airport

And then travel direct by train to Hong Kong can I use high speed train or do I have to use the local train,  please clarify which train I can use and which station in GZ I need to exit from to apply for the 144 hours visa free transit,

You can't take high speed train to HK. It is suggested to take ferry from Nansha port. Upon your landing in the airport, you can follow the guide to apply for visa free transit.
