About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Cruise from Shanghai returning Shanghai

We are Canadians flying into Shanghai Feb 11, board our cruise ship Feb 15, which then sails to Beijing, S. Korea, Japan before returning to Shanghai Feb 29, the same day we fly back to Canada. Should we request a one entry or a multiple entry visa?

Ann, you only need a single entry visa, because you can enjoy visa-free transit in Shanghai on the way back. However, considering that the costs for single and multiple-entry visas are the same for Canadians, you can apply for a multiple-entry visa.
