About:China Visa Application Requirements

Hello. If possible can I mail the information with a photocopy of my passport to the corresponding address or do I need to be in person to apply for the visa with my actual passport? (Canada) ... Also, for the invitation letter, can a hotel provide this or do you need to be part of a tour group company? Thank you.

You need to be in person to apply for the visa with your actual passport. As for the invitation letter, you need to book a tour from a China travel agency, like TravelChinaGuide, in order to get it.
