About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Exiting Guangzhou

I want to confirm: will the 144 TWOV allow me to exit Guangzhou to Hong Kong by train/ferry? Or do I need to leave Guangzhou by air? Very much appreciate your reply. Thank you.

It is possible, but you must have a confirmed ticket to Hong Kong in your hand when you check-in for your flight to Guangzhou. High Speed Rail is not permitted.
