About:Marco Polo Memorial Museum

How soon to apply for L Visa

Can specific dates be set for the passport(say April 2020) or if I apply too soon might the visa expire before I go? Is applying for a longer duration visa given freely and I should just ask for 6mo-12mo etc? Thanks, Randy

If you apply too soon, the visa may expire before you go, so you are advised to apply one or two months before your departure. As the fee for short-term and long-term visas are the same for US vitizens, applying for a 10-year multiple entry visa would be the best option.
