144hr visa transit

Hi we fly into Shanghai February 2020 and transit directly to our MSC cruise ship at cruise centre Shanghai.First port is Japan and later Hong Kong etc no other Chinese ports,so can you please tell me where we get the 144visa and what paperwork we need a d what cost if any and can we pay with international credit card.We are British citizens,our passports have many free pages and over 70yrs old.The only Asian stamp we have is malaysia.many thanks Keith
