About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi ,, I want to travel to shanghai on the 72 hour visa. I am booked in to stay at the shanghai fish Inn, do I need to register with the police within 24 hours ?.... also I want to bring seeds and shells back to germany from new Zealand, , can I bring them into china

If you stay in a hotel, the hotel staff will do the registration for you.

Thank you,, do you know if I can bring shells in , if I take them out again .. that are just common shells
