About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Qingdao

Multiple stops in China.

My friend has a ticket going from Hanoi-Shenzhen-Qingdao, then Qingdao-Guangzhou-Bangkok. He wants to do the transit visa in the city, is this possible?
