Part two:
- Upon arrival in Shenzhen, you will approach 144 hour visa free transit counter where you will fill out a blue form and again, after a short inspection of your tickets, you will get a sticker in your passport and you will be allowed to exit the airport.
- After the above mentioned formalities, you can travel throughout Guangdong province because when traveling on 144 hour visa free transit, you are not limited to Shenzhen city boundaries only.
- To travel to Hong Kong, you will really have to take exactly that ferry that you have bought your tickets for.
- After that, you will travel to Hong Kong and stay there, as you have said, for 36 hours. You can stay even more because there is no limit for how long you have or you can stay in Hong Kong.
- After your stay in Hong Kong, you will book a ticket for a high speed train back to Shenzhen and here you will have to use your single entry visa because you will stay in mainland China for the next 9 days.
As you can see, this is all perfectly doable, but you should take care about one detail in particular! You have to be very focued and do exactly as I have expained you and special focus is needed when you arrive in Shenzhen from Europe not to use your visa! You should always tell that you are traveling on 144 hour visa free transit and that you will proceed to Hong Kong by ferry after your short stay in Shenzhen. Again, this short stay should not be less than 24 hours!
So, again, be focused on these details and especially on your visa, so that the immigration official does not collect your single entry.
OK, I just hope that we have understood each other, so that you can successfully accomplish your trip to southern China.
