Gift worth 12,300 bringing back to Shanghai, customs clearance or not?

Hi, as a foreign student, currently residing in Shanghai, I intend to bring a gift worth 12,300 RMB back into Shanghai after returning from my trip.

The gift is intended for personal use.

Must a declare this product or not?
