About:Visa on Arrival

I am a tourist with a French passport and want to go to Shenzhen.

Will it be possible for me to get a Chinese visa at the Shenzhen border? I heard contradiction information about this.

Will I be allowed to go to Dongguan with this visa?

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.

As a French citizen, you will be definitely granted a 5 day Shenzhen visa on arrival at one of three eligible border crossings, Lo Wu / Luohu being the best. Anyway, you will not be able to obtain a Chinese full visa. This is not possible and was never possible to do on arrival!

Also, with this Shenzhen VOA, you are allowed to stay and travel within Shenzhen city boundaries only and you are not allowed to travel to Dongguan because this is a separate city from Shenzhen.
