Hainan - Chinese Visa on Arrival for Polish Citizen? URGENT!!!

Mariusz, it is better that they even don't try to board the plane if they don't have a Chinese tourist (L) visa. They cannot apply neither for 30 day visa free access nor Hainan VOA because they have a stop in Beijing. This is simply not allowed and because of this stop they cannot apply for any of the two mentioned options. Even if they are allowed to board the plane in Amsterdam and this is not likely, they will be returned back to Europe as soon as they land in Beijing. Sorry.

The only way how could they reach Hainan at this moment is to board the plane bound for Beijing and to book a ticket from Beijing to Hong Kong. Like this they will be able to use 24 hour visa free transit on the route:

Amsterdam - Beijing - Hong Kong

Anyway, they should tell at check-in to tag their luggage only until Beijing where they will take their luggage because of the flight path change. They should also contact the airline they are using to see if this is possible because the airline could cancel their return leg if they don't show on the Beijing to Hainan flight leg.

Also they should book a ticket from Hong Kong to either Sanya or Haikou. Hong Kong authorities are well informed about Hiakou VOA, so they will allow them to take a flight to Hainan.

As you can see, they have to be very fast regarding these details because they are flying within several hours. Indeed, this option with a flight to Hong Kong and then from Hong Kong to Hainan is their only option to reach their destination.
