Can I get arrival visa

Hi I lost my British passport which has valid multiple visa on it (I have copy) and will get a replacement today. My flight is tonight to Hainan for 25 days. I have no time apply a new visa. Can I still fly and get a visa on arrival? I fly with family, not through travel agency
Thanks

If your Mainland Chinese port of entry is Haikou then you technically can get a visa on arrival for CNY 200 (or its equivalent in USD) if your stay is less than 15 days. If it's Sanya then you need to have your return ticket and hotel reservation handy to avail the 30-day visa waiver (which is only after you have visited the travel agent counter before immigration inspection to get clearance, but be aware that it may take up to 24 hours for said clearance to be issued). If you will be entering Mainland China through any other port of entry then you need to cancel your travel plans and wait for a new visa.

Good luck with this. Please report back what happens, because there is very little data available on Hainan VOA.
