I have a layover in Shanghai for 22 hours and have permanent residence for Canada but hold a

Venezuela passport can i leave the airport to go to a hotel

It depends on the immigration if they'll give you a 24h temporary permit or not.
Have the hotel booking ready and I'm pretty sure you'll get a permit as your layover is 22h long.
But you have no guarantee.
