About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is our trip eligible for 24 hour transit free visa?

We are going on a 28 day Viking cruise with one stop, Xiamen, in mainland China for one day from 7 am to 4 pm. Next day we go to Hong Kong for 2 days and then will depart from Hong Kong to Los Angeles (end of trip). I think we are eligible for 24 hour transit free visa (although some info says you have to stay in airport?) Need to be sure we are legal when we arrive there and exactly what documentation we need. Thanks for your help!

Now, I have seen a reply of contributor CDKING on practically the same question asked by Caroline from US regarding the eligibility of your itinerary for visa free transit in Xiamen.

He has mentioned that your port of call, immediately before Xiamen will be in Manila, so your itinerary will look like:

Manila - Xiamen - Hong Kong

This is definitely eligible itinerary and you will be eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Xiamen and you don't need any kind of visa.
