No, you don't need any kind of visa because your transit will be definitely covered by 24 hour visa free transit. You will fly on CZ651 from Guangzhou to London via Sanya and on CZ3036 from Bangkok to Guangzhou.
You will print out your flight tickets and have those printouts with you. You will declare at check-in in Bangkok that you will fly to London via China using 24 hour visa free transit. After a short check, you will be allowed to board the plane. Upon arrival in Guangzhou, you will apply for a temporary entry permit at 24 hour visa free transit counter and you will clear an immigration and security and after that you will just proceed to your boarding gate. This permit is necessary because the next segment of your flight, although on a single flight number all the way to London, is considered a domestic flight. Never mind, this is nothing special.
Upon arrival in Sanya, there will be another immigration because here you will exit China. This will be done quickly and you will proceed to London after that.
Please, have in mind to ask at check-in in Bangkok whether your luggage will be tagged all the way to London. I can say that I'm almost certain that this will be the case, but you should ask, just for a case. Please, don't forget about this detail.
