About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Common ticket? Is it ok if I have two tickets and two reservations?

My trip to Shanghai and from Shanghai are booked with different airlines (totally different tickets). Is that ok to get the 144 hour visa-free stay?

Yes, you are perfectly allowed to have two totally separate (different) tickets and to fly with totally unrelated airlines. You are also allowed to arrive at Pudong and depart from Hongqiao airport. These details are fairly flexible. Of course, everything that I have mentioned is valid if your itinerary is eligible.
