Transit Visa

Hi everyone,

Quick Question. I need to be in Shenzhen in a few days from Tokyo. My company booked a Tokyo - Shenzhen with a stop in Shanghai for about one hour. Can I still ask for a transit visa in Shenzhen since the flight is mainly Tokyo-Shenzhen ?

Thanks

This is not a transit so you need a visa in advance

Jct, do I understand you properly that you intend to fly this itinerary:

Tokyo - Shenzhen - Shanghai - Paris

With just one hour of layover in Shenzhen?

Honestly, even if this is a single (through) ticket and I sincerely doubt that any airline would sell a single ticket with just one hour of layover in Shenzhen, I really don't know how would you be able to clear the security, apply for a temporary entry permit, clear the immigration and reach on time for your boarding gate for your flight to Shanghai.

I would not do that if I were in your place. This is practically impossible to manage on time. Make yourself a favor and change your flight itinerary.
