About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Myanmar Passport Holder for Transit Visa

I'll be travelling to US from bangkok transiting trough Shanghai for 23 hr. Am I eligible for 24 hrs free transhit visa ? Cos I wanna leave the airport and spend one night in Shanghai. Your answer is highly appreciated.

Your itinerary is eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa. Anyway, if you wish to exit the airport, you will apply for a temporary entry permit at 24 hour visa free transit counter upon your arrival in Shanghai. To increase your chances to be issued a permit, you are advised to book a hotel in advance and to have a confirmation about it with you. In any case, you have to know that the issuing of a temporary entry permit depends entirely on immigration authorities on a day of your arrival in Shanghai. By the way, you should print out your flight tickets and have those printouts with you. Also, I hope that Shanghai is your only stop in China because you don't have enough time for another stop since your layover in Shanghai itself is 23 hours.
