About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Chinese Visa application as Myanmar citizen in Japan

I plan to go to china for visiting to my boyfriend`s parents for a week and my Chinese boyfriend will go with me.
He will pay for the expenses. We will live at my boyfriend`s house .
We both are working in japan right now.
I am going to apply L visa.
Which documents do I need to prepare?
Do I need to book flight ticket in advance before getting visa?

Documents needed for L visa:
Passport with at least 6-month validity
Visa Application Form and Photo
Proof of legal stay or residence status in Japan
Documents showing the itinerary including air ticket booking record (round trip) and proof of a hotel reservation, etc. or an invitation letter issued by a relevant entity or individual in China.

BTW, if you will stay in China for less than 30 days, there is no need to apply for the visa. Because till end of 2025, Japanese passport holders can stay in China mainland without a visa for up to 30 days.
