About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa for tunisians

Hi,
I'm tunisian and I'm travelling from Frankfurt to Bangkok in December and I will have have a 8 h stop in Pudong, shanghai. do I need a visa so I can go out of the airport?

The first and the most important is that your itinerary is eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa. Anyway, if you want to exit the airport, you will have to apply for a temporary entry permit at 24 hour visa free transit counter upon your landing in Shanghai. You have to be aware that the issuing of this permit depends entirely on discretion of immigration authorities on a day of your arrival. In other words, you simply don't know whether you will be issued a permit or not.

If you really want to be certain to exit the airport, you will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance.
