Mt Emei and Leshan Giant Buddha

Is it possible to visit Mt Emei and Leshan Giant Buddha within a single day or do I need to stay overnight somewhere to cover the 2 places.

One day is too tight to tour around these two mountains. You are suggested to stay at one mountain for one night and tour the other one next day.
