About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

non revving through China

I have a flight connecting from the US in Shanghai for 4 hours and then going to Vietnam. The problem is am flighing standby so my connection is not confirmed. From reading I guess this isnt possible.

It is absolutely and definitely not possible without a visa.
