About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Airline employee planning on non-reving to PVG for 3days & then non-rev to Japan. No confirmed seat.

How do I meet the 144 hr visa requirement of producing an "onward ticket with a confirmed seat" if I'm non reving? I can only produce a seat request form.

You cannot. Standby is not allowed. You need a visa or a confirmed seat.
