About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

chinese visa for australian citizen what legal status to show?

Hello

I am Australian Passport holder and Greek Passport holder and I live in London where I have settled status. I live in London 10 years.
I have booked tickets and accommodation to travel to Shanghai for 3 nights, 1 night at Xian Bei and 4 nights in Beijing along with my 2 friends returning back to London on same date.

I am preparing to apply for Chinese visa but I want to check the legal status requirement. I have Australian Passport valid till 2027 and my Greek Passport expired in April 2019, so my settled status was issued in March 2019 based on the Greek Passport. Showing the Australian Passport and the settled status letter (it does not indicate anything for Greek Passport), would I be ok to be granted the visa?

There are no appointments to renew my Greek Passport at the embassy so I am not sure. I have travelled to US recently and all were ok with the tourist visa and the same passport but I want to check. I have utility bills in UK if that helps.

Paul, I'm afraid you will need to use the passport on which your settled status is based for the application. You should contact the CVASC in London to confirm this.
