About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 Hrs transit visa Shanghai PVG?

Hi,
I am German passport holder, traveling from Hong Kong to Shanghai on Cathay Pacific confirmed ticket, I have 3 hours transit in PVG with onward confirmed ticket on Singapore Airlines to Singapore. However I need to clear customs, collect my luggage and check in again with Singapore Airlines, Am I eligible for 72hrs short Visa transit?

Ja, das geht. Habe ich in PVG schon mal gemacht. Mit UA aus LAX angekommen und am selben Tag mit AI nach DEL weiter. Musste Gepäck neu einchecken. Habe 72h Stempel bekommen.

You're eligible for the 24h free transit.
When you have to collect your luggage, you'll get a temporary permit to leave the airside area.
If you don't get a permit, just contact the airline and they'll collect your luggage and re-check it to Singapore.
72h twov doesn't exist anymore in Shanghai, just 24/144 twov.
