About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Passport Kyrgyzstan, travel to Guangzhou

Hello,
thanks for the great answer.
To follow up and better understanding:
I need to be in Guangzhou for less then 24 hours (due to business).

1) Can I travel Germany - Guangzhou (CAN) (for up to 24 hours) - Bangkok/Taipeh/etc - Germany?
2) Does the flight to Guangzhou have to be a direct (nonstop) flight? I is not possible to fly via Paris/Amsterdam etc?
3) If these options are possible, I assume it is also possible to do three different bookings (1. Germany-CAN, 2. CAN-Bangkok, 3. Bangkok-Germany) Correct?

I only need to be in Guangzhou for less then 24 hours, and a visa for my Kyrgyzstan passport takes too long to get. Maybe you have a different suggestion/idea?

THANKS A LOT!

1) Yes, you are definitely allowed to do that. Please, keep in mind that 24 hours are counted from your scheduled arrival until your scheduled departure and not on your real arrival and departure times. Also, you can choose any country or eligible territory as your third country after Guangzhou. So, it is just fine if you choose Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or many other destinations

2) You can arrive in Guangzhou by any nonstop flight that does not originate or does not have any additional landing within mainland China. In other words, you can arrive in Guangzhou from Russia, Germany, Paris, Amsterdam, India... Under the condition that such a flight ins nonstop and that you don't return to that same country after your stop in Guangzhou. You can definitely fly Germany - Amsterdam - Guangzhou.

3) Exactly. You are perfectly allowed to travel on the itinerary that you have presented. By the way, it is definitely advised that you book separate tickets because like this the Chinese authorities will have to grant you a temporary entry permit because you will have to collect your luggage and make a recheck for your next flights. Also, you should make as longer as possible gap between your arrival and your departure to/from Guangzhou, to maximize your time in Guangzhou.

My suggestion for you, as Kyrgyzstani citizen, is not to travel to Bangkok because Thailand requires a visa in advance for Kyrgyzstani citizens. Much better option would be flights to Malaysia or Vietnam because they do not require a visa for Kyrgyzstanis. Malaysia is probably the best option because you can rely on quite cheap flight from Guangzhou to Kuala Lumpur by Air Asia.
