About:Chinese Permanent Residence Permit

New laws

Is it true there are new categories for the permanent residence (as of aug 2019) Eg. Having had 2 previous work visas, or earning 6 times the local salary while paying 20% tax?

Yes, it's true. If a foreigner has worked in China continuously for four years and stay for no less than six months in China annually, earn 6 times the local average salary per year while paying 20% tax of the annual income, the person is eligible for applying for China permanent residence.

Do both of these have to hold, or can only of them be enough? (i.e only making 6x the local profit without having resided for multiple years, or only residing for multiple years while not making 6x)
