short term study visa extension

Question

Hi there,For short term study visa I only have one entry. However, I would like to obtain more entries by extending my visa as it is too late to apply for a residence permit. is this possible? and could my reason be to obtain more entries or would I need a more urgent or proof of extension? I am based in Chengdu. Do you have any information on where to go for this also? Thanks!

As you only have a short term study visa, X2 type I think, you cannot add entried to this visa. You can go to the Exit and Entry Administration in Chengdu to try your luck and see if it is allowed to change your X2 to X1, and then apply for a temporary residence permit.
